Hemorrhoid symptoms - What Are Hemroids And Their Causes?

If you have hemorrhoids then you will very soon come to know of the hemorrhoid symptoms which are so explicit and clear. The reason is that any hemorrhoid is basically diagnosed through the pain it will be causing in the ano-rectal or the anal orifice of you digestive system.

There are many medical terms that you will face when you will be diagnosed about the condition and it is good to know what they are. Burt how will you detect your hemorrhoids if you do not know of the hemorrhoid symptoms? Well we are here to help. These symptoms can be called the ano-rectal problems that you face, when hemorrhoids develop in you.

The ano-rectal problems in common

When you are suffering from hemorrhoids you will suffer from hemorrhoid symptoms like fissures and fistulae. The skin of our anal region is very thin, thinner than even the skin of our vagina or upper epidermis. As such, with much strain and friction you may develop fissures or cracks on your anal wall which when aggravated get transformed into fistulas.

Many a time due to prolonged constipation this may happen but anal intercourse has also been known as a popular reason. You may also develop abscesses and irritation in the area concerned. Itching and a burning sensation in these areas is a very common symptom that you can identify very easily. However, blood may also ooze if your condition is serious. However, there are two types of hemorrhoids and apart from these common hemorrhoid symptoms there are others which distinguish one from the other.

Symptoms of external hemorrhoids

When you have external hemorrhoids then swellings will develop on the outside of your anus. These swellings will be hard and will be very painful to you when ever you sit or shit. This swelling forms due to the clotting of blood around the anus and the rectal orifice.

This condition of a blood clot forming a swelling outside your anus is usually called a thrombosed hemorrhoid in diagnostic terms. But some internal hemorrhoids do enlarge and protrude outside the body. These however are different from the external hemorrhoids. If the above mentioned hemorrhoid symptoms are yours then you are suffering from external hemorrhoids.

Symptoms of internal hemorrhoids

If say you do not have all of these hemorrhoid symptoms but still you face some of the common symptoms mentioned above then there are other symptoms that you have to look for. For example when you wipe your anus with a clean tissue do blood stains appear?

Or maybe, when you have a bowel movement, is it mixed with blood? If answer to the two questions is yes then you are surely suffering from internal hemorrhoids and you should be looking for a way to cure your hemorrhoids. Sometimes it may happen that your internal hemorrhoid grows so large that it forces itself out your anus. This condition cannot be mixed up with the condition of external hemorrhoid (as indicated previously).

So keep an eye out for hemorrhoid symptoms and get yourself to a doctor if ever you find them. Always remember that a doctor can help but to a certain extent, you will have to inculcate good diet habits and maintain hygiene if you want to get rid of this problem permanently.
