Thrombosed Hemorrhoids - How Can You Treat Thrombosed Hemroids?
What is a thrombosed hemorrhoid?
A thrombosed hemorrhoid is one which is really an external one but with a blood clot in addition to it. It is a very painful state of affairs that can get healed of its own within a mater of one week. However, chances of recurring remain if you leave it as it is, for healing. But most people would rather get over the hemorrhoid instantly than wait for a whole week and get it cured by itself.
Usually, when you develop thrombosed hemorrhoids you will find that hard swellings have developed round your anus and these swellings are itching terribly. If any blood oozes then you might also have an internal hemorrhoid along with it. However, you have to know how you can treat your thrombosed hemorrhoid and take the proper steps.
Methods of treatment
There are many methods of treatment that one can practice with regards to the condition you are suffering from. There are treatments that you can do yourself and there are treatments where you will need a doctor to perform and operation on you. Many a times maintenance of personal hygiene and eating of proper fibre filled food lead to effective removal of this condition. But as people lack patience so they have to suffer under the scalpel and get themselves operated.
On a personal level you can do many things to treat this condition. You can periodically keep the affected area submerged in lukewarm water for relief from pain and itching; you can apply topical ointments made especially for hemorrhoids and even stop using sitting toilets for good effect. In fact all of these, the personal things that you can do to help yourself, will soothe you and help ease your pain.
The creams that you can apply at the hemorrhoid usually contain lydocaine which helps kill the pain. However, along with lessening the pain, they will also help you shrink the thrombosis by degrees and abolishing it after a point of time.
When talking about surgery you can use various methods available. But the personal diet and hygiene method is the most beneficiary as it prevents the condition from occurring again. You have to remember that when you opt for surgery, it does not mean that you get away with treatment in an instant. In fact for any good thrombosis operation to succeed you will have to invest longer time than in the normal process of removal.
However, most of the instant hemorrhoid removals we hear of are not really good and is not always very effective. This is so because it has been found out that in the condition has returned when the surgery has been done and the wound is healing. Usually, if you get surgery done with the arrival of the symptoms you stand of getting cured easily than if you get surgery done at a later time.
Under surgery, you doctor may simply do something like cut the blood vessel and remove the clot so that everything goes back to perfect. But for me there is nothing better than healthy food and good exercise that will keep thrombosed hemorrhoids away.
